Description
1,000 tree saplings planted in Kenya will help a community to grow a tree nursery.
As the trees grow, their roots will help conserve the soil that is used to grow crops that feed families.
Christian Aid partner BIDDI teaches volunteers from a group called Youth in Action to train local farmers to build terraces that act as water tanks.
This new agricultural technique provides a more consistent supply of water to the saplings, protecting them from the effects of drought.
