This beautiful, authentic African Black Soap is traditionally handcrafted & fairly traded with Women's co-operatives in Togo, West Africa. It is made with 48% pure, organically grown shea butter & wildcrafted, virgin palm kernel oil. The lye that is used in the saponification process, is made from the ash of dried banana leaves & the bark from the local Agow tree (harvested sustainably).

Our African black soap has a very mild scent & a wonderful creamy lather, which leaves your skin moisturised & soft. African Black Soap is one of the healthiest soaps for the skin due to the purity and simplicity of the ingredients. It leaves the skin smooth and soft & as a facial soap it is believed to be excellent for clearing acne. It also has a reputation for moisturising the skin & is believed to combat rashes, dry & eczema prone skin, as well as being a natural shampoo for optimum scalp health. It is suitable for ALL skin types.
