Created by UK designer Alex Turner they are made from "used and bruised" standard British 8 pool balls that have had a previous life on - you guessed it - pool tables.

An ingenious reuse of materials in the UK and an excellent ethical Christmas gift.

As seen in Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms Magazine these quirky salt and pepper shakers from EcoCentric make for a great talking point and a cool eco gift.

The set contains one cue ball - for salt - and one 8 ball - for pepper. The balls have had a cylinder drilled out of them and the bases ground down so that they sit flatly onto a table.

Salt and pepper is stored in the cylinder (which is fitted with a removable plastic stopper) and dispensed through small holes drilled into the top of each ball.

This is a product that is completely original, beautifully designed, and just puts a smile on your face. Perfect for the person who thinks they have everything!
